Day 7 Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge

Day 7 its all about Game #2!

Time to dish the dirt on Your Cats Naughty Christmas antics or, as we like to call them: Festive Felonies!

Minnie is our Festive Naughty One! Only having her for two years, she had seen nothing like a Christmas tree or decorations before, after her poor barn community living, so it was like a wonderland playground for her. We forget she is an adult cat because she is so small.

First, she started on my brand new cushion with little bells on it

Then she went for the decorations! (it was quite like a frenzy!)

Then moved onto the Christmas tree! I was trying to decorate it here! But had to scoot her out as those needles on the floor... weeeeell, she attempted to eat them!  Sharp stiff needles falling from the tree! Luckily we shut the double glass doors to keep her out, but she KNEW that tree was in there!

I tried to keep the needles vacuumed up and every time  a door was opened, she was in there like a flash!  'Hey, Santa!!'

I have no doubt she would have ridden that tree to the ground if given the opportunity!  She did get some joy time, just had to be supervised!

Yassi (being the very conservative and sensible one, tried to pat a deer statue on the head, but really, she thought it was all a yawn!

Make sure you join in on the fun

Here's another card for the Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge

Did you know that black cats are the least adoptable in rescues!  I sure dont understand as all the black cats I've ever owned have been extraordinary!

Making sure little black cats get their day (heart)

Such sweet stories! I love my black cat. He is the most gentlest cat I've ever had. He talks alot though. Your card is terrific.

Oh Wow, Mandy, I so enjoyed reading your blog post! Minnie was so curious, but Yassi was bored with it all. So fun and funny the way you described them, and of course the photos made all the difference! Your kitty card is so adorable and I love how you coloured them as black kitties! I like to colour mine to resemble my kitties! I do see a lot of black cats on the FB page of my local animal shelter so I think you might be right. My guess is that some people think they are bad luck, but that's a silly (and stupid!) superstition. Cats are cats and they all deserved to be loved! So nice to get together with you again this year!

I too have heard that black cats are the least adoptable - goodness knows why because my rescue black cat, Casey, was the gentlest, most lovable fluff ball ever! Your card is beautiful with the vintage style stamp coloured to purr-section. x

I would adopt a black kitty in a heartbeat! But I guess a lot of people are supersticious and think they're bad luck. I just adore your little stories and pawsome photos of your sweet kitties, Mandy. And your card is wonderful! Love slimlines and this is a fabulous image. The little bow detail is sweet and I really love the floral border at the bottom. Purrrfect details!

Ah, I know so well this story, Mandy!! :D It seems to me to go back in time when I THOUGHT I could have a Christmas tree despite all my cats! LOL :D Minnie is an adorable naughty kitty, she could play with anything Christmas related! Love the photo with the cushion, how cute!!
Yassy makes me smile, how different from his friend! :) I would try a cat as him, never owned! LOL
People are stupid about black cats. I LOVE black cats, they are so sweet and sensitive. I had one named Bagheera, he was an abandoned little kitty I founded on the street. Hours kneeling to capture him under the parked cars because he was very frightened, but I’ve succeeded! He became my own shadow for years. So loved...
Amazing card with a beautiful vintage feel, great colouring and love the cute border on the bottom!
Your meme make me giggle, this is me with anyone of my cats! :D
Hugs

What a lovely post, Mandy, you've really cheered up my morning! I love your card too. What is it with people and black cats? We never seem to have any trouble finding loving homes for them from the Rescue, so hopefully it's more myth than truth. Hugs, Jo x
