Over at the Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge, Jo has taken us down memory lane over the last 8 hops that Janis had run picking out the the badges Janis had made and used and some of her cards she did herself for the hops. The amount of projects uploaded by the participants were often well past 200! Its just lovely!
I went for a wander myself and looked very what I had submitted and wrote about since the very first hop in 2015. Weeeeell, its mainly scrapbooking layouts, but there is the odd card and some off the page projects I'd forgotten about and loved seeing again. What was so lovely to me was seeing the journey I had with my beautiful cats, one in particular has passed (Blackie) and I journaled much about them. This looking back, has brought up memories of my own.
Today, no card.
Today is what I submitted in 2015 when I had my Blackie with me.
2015
Day 2
Just a simple 6x12in, for my Project Life album.... 15 yrs old.
Blackie when we first got him
Day 3
Blackie, - week 37 in my Project Life album, confident in his stroll outside, but the constant incoming
stimulation both audibly and visually for this over-alert cat, means exhaustion
is imminent
A fright for Blackie
Day 6
So, out of the blue, Blackie gets up on dh's foot stool, and it looks none too comfy either! And tries to nap (Chirp mentioned here is our little bird who has the nerve to swoop him - and yes ex-feral who ducks or runs away!!! He has never been one to get up on the lounge suite.
Then not long after the armchair incident... went from my scrapping chair to on my desk! I was stunned and of course took LOTS of photos!!
Wow, I can see from the 2015 commenters that some of those very same cat-loving people are still commenting on my blog today for this 2023 challenge.... how extraordinary and heart warming. The same goes for sponsors, I can see some of the sponsors still here today! Amazing!
What an extraordinary community Janis created
xx

I wasn't there in 2015, so it's even nicer for me to see your work and memories here today. And your work is so great, so many lovely little details, written memories, wonderful photos... all brought together into little books!!
I don't remember if I saw and commented your album for Blackie in the 2015, but it's just wonderful (as Blackie was). Love also so much your upcycling of the old book! You are very skilled!
