Prima Plaques....

 

 

Look at these little Prima Plaques to welcome two special little girls into the world

 

Isnt this fabulous.... Prima Songbird 'Collage' Paper

From this its easy to cut plaque shapes and each one shabbychic like you can take your pick of pieces for the back ground of the plaques

When Lee-Anne sent me the Prima Resin Fairies and Resin Architecture brackets they were backed by picture framing mounts.... you know like that foamy - white board-like stuff (so the packets didnt bend or break the product in transit) Weeeell this is PERFECT for the backing of the little plaques... So I cut them to the size of my paper cut-outs, stuck them on and sanded the edges
Then I used two different Tattered Angels products... First painted some golden 'Glitter Glam' on both plaques in a rectangle shape (Glam is like a very watery paint with lots of glitter sparkle in it - cant see it too well in my photos.. but it sure does sparkle in real life ) It's painted on and give a lovely golden hue to the background. Then I used two 'Glimmermist Chalkboard' sprays one on each giving a 'drippy affect. Chalkboard is a more richer opaque paint which is in a spray bottle. The colours I've used are not in stock... but there are others... check them out HERE

 

Added the Prima Zephyr Clocks, Prima Aire Flowers, Prima Green Trim, Prima Black Trim and Pink Measuring Tape
And love love love lilybeedesign alpha as they are just the perfect size!!



Thinking about it.... these could even be used as covers for a little mini-album... maybe one made with envelopes for pages inside... hmmmn... could happen yet

And in other news... we moved the last of our funiture from our old house today and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned... all plonked into the new house and I have no idea where to begin!  The complicated part is that we cant find a place for the furniture because the new carpet wont be laid until Thursday - and our new bed doesnt arrive until Friday... sigh...

We are living at our farm at the moment until that part gets sorted except for dh who is sleeping at the new house - to try keep our poor upset confused and nervous cat some familiarity, and Maggie our cockatiel who is feeling just as unhappy as the cat!

 

As for tomorrow morning (sunday) - I'm sleeping in!

And.... I've made my start on Christmas Cards for Scrap Therapy too!

 

I know, I know!! Its September... but it is good to get a start on that Christmas Card making!

Do you love a chevron pattern?... I do!! and these are fabulous for the backgrounds. I've used a subtle one(using the reverse side if you look in the shop) and a striking one... both do Christmas making justice!!

Here's my start using MME All is Bright range... with a bit of a shabby look!



The large rectangular frames on the cards are cut out of All is Bright Empherma Frames Paper The frames already come decorated with the aged look and bits of crochet etc... And I've also cut a couple of little titles from the paper as well for each card 'All is Calm' and 'First Noel' too.

The 'All is Bright' Washi tape is sold out now... but if you type in the word 'tape' in the 'Search Products' box on the Scrap Therapy Page  up on the righthand side - it will show you all the tapes - including all sorts of  washi tape... fabulous!! You can use this for the little trees made out of the tape on the cards... (LOL in a way they can also look like cakes....so you could even do a wedding or birthday cake like this too!) Add in some trim... You can find some red ricrac here

Hmmn, before we know it ... Christmas will be here...
thats gets me thinking.... might have to start looking at my December Daily bits and pieces....

At the moment, I'm in Melbourne for work... and go home Monday...

dh and the girls are packing boxes and moving most things to our new house... yes our house sold in 5days!!  So we are REALLY busy!     I've bought some scrapping stuff with me to do of a night here as its quiet, and I reckon that will be all the scrapping  I'll get done between now and the next week or two.

Life is pretty full on!

Boy, again... so many papers that are OLD!  And so many I probably would never put my hands on otherwise...

 

But....  was so happy with the amount of 'stash' I got through last month and actually use it  and also getting some cards into my cupboard for a rainy day too...

just had to have another go this month!

Do you love tissue paper for wrapping gifts? I LOVE it, and whatsmore, I’ll recycle it. (Nothing a hot iron can’t un-crease!) I also LOVE confetti – there’s something about the ‘joy’ it represents! Confetti almost always accompanies a celebration oozing much happiness.

AT Last... A Day of Scrapping!

A day just for scrapping has been hard to find for the last I dont know how many months... its just been about grabbing time here and there to do a LO here or there.

Yesterday, was THE day - nothing but scrapping and it was soooo goooood!

Here's what I got done...

But first - a discovery (for me at least)

How great is the Counterfeit Kits Challenge Blog!

I had just found it... maybe you all know its there... but what an inspiration that become..

Sooooo, what they do is pick a kit each month from somewhere on the net, and out of our own stash at home, we try to match it up as best we can...

Weeeeeeelll, I LOVED doing that! The things I pulled out - and colours I'd never use matching together...the brightness I usually steer way clear of AND patterned papers - eek! (you may laugh, but I just am hopeless at knowing what to do with pattern paper, yet silly - still buy them! Embellies I've had for years, and goodness knows what else. I made up a big kit!

Didnt really intend to make a Christmas Card... but this is how it turned out!

The numbers represent the countdown, and even the the numerals 2 and 5 are there... some postal washi tape to represent parcels of gifts sent.... and.....

the splatter represents is how quickly Christmas arrives.. LOL... and there's the 'Merry' and the traditional christmas coloured bow!

Pie Graphs Anyone?

Weeell, thats what they look like - Pie Graphs!

Time to play with that NEW PRIMA!

(Please excuse the poor lighting in the photographs. I've tried my best with the woeful weather and darkness we have lately and today I just plain ran out of light!)

Anyway... here's the LO:

Love the background paper Prima Romance Novel Harlequin which was sprayed with Glimmermist Afraid of the Dark then using a paintbrush - paint the mist splotches on the page out into a squarish shape and it diffuses the patterned paper a bit... not so busy
Prima Craftman 'Gear Up' Paper  - for the little pies

How spesh are Prima Press Holders and Alphabets oh my goodness... LOVE LOVE LOVE... and I've used gold paint with mine Easy peasy to use and LOVE how it really worked well with the background paper!

And the DOORS... !!
Used some of Tim's Lavish Trimmings the little rosettes.. gorgeous ! The red alpha is Lillybeedesign.

What an amazing sketch!!!  Who cant get inspired by this!

I flipped it on its side, and used misting to give the divide of colour.

The stamped and cut-out arrows with the stamped postal imprint making a road gives an escape route for Cinderella....  The numbers are the counting down of the chimes of the clock ..... Its a bit of fun!
