Art Piasknownica Przepis na 27 and it won!!!

I was so surprised and very happy!

Recipe Challenge

Clean and sterile

First compose a striped title (see the sample in the template box)
add a handful of metal pieces (you can use screws, nails, brads, clock parts, pins etc.)
One definitely dominant colour from the palette (bright one)
and an old useless newspaper.

Here's my interpretation:

I love the red-yellow colour in the example above and tried to keep it to clean lines as much as possible.  It helped to cut out the photo figures of Hannah.

To create the stripe for the alpha, I used newspaper  and a stamp making vertical impressions across the print.  Then drew the letters by hand to cut out.

The metal pieces include the button, circled wire and two tiny clips and two little music note charms

So all the critera is ticked (big smile)

My Mind's Eye Card Sketch Challenge #32

Here's my card based on the sketch:

I've cut out another little banner and 3D-ed it by placing foam tape underneath and placing it almost over the top of the other.

SCRAP THERAPY

Here's a couple of LO's made with My Mind's Eye

This LO kinda 'evolved' (this happens a lot lately)

When I started to create, I had no idea what photo I was going to use, but knew I loved this Lost&Found Breeze 'Fun Day' Today Paper and found some little flowers that I'd had in my stash forever (this are Prima ones- you can use any sort). So laid them all out and stuck them on my background paper

Then started to paint over them with gesso ( you could use any paint)

But once again, started to second guess myself..... needed more flowers! So added more and painted more! This felt better! And also laid some Stella and Rose Mabel 'Little Lady' Trim along the bottom to test out how it would look

Finished by sticking down the trim, and finding a photo to match!!! Then added in Lost&Found Breeze 'Precious' Bauble Pom Poms (love this stuff!)
Two little tags Stella and Rose Mabel 'Love' Decorative Tags and twine from 12 Days of Christmas Trims (this packet of trims has fabby bright pink bauble trim in it too!) And the brown glitter Alpha Lost&Found Madison Ave 'Sisters' Glittered Alpha The buttons added to the flowers are kraft Fun Day Happy Days Buttons




I love this little MME Tree label I had for ages  and cut the trunk from (it would really be easy to hand draw and cut out too!)

     

Sketch Challenge

 

I flipped it upside down, and it did kinda take off with a mind of its own... but I loved being inspired by the sketch as it gave me a great starting point! I tried to make a swing - I think it looks like one if you twist your mouth sideways you can see it (LOL)

I started with Lost and Found Market Street Love 'Beautiful' Glittered Die Cut Paper but  didnt want the scalloped edges so used a craft knife and cut the centre out. I'll use that scalloped edge in another project!

Using the 'Roses' Paper from Life Stories Day 258 Paper and Accessories Kit, cut it to size just a bit bigger than the Glittered Die Cut paper. I also cut out the centre of the Roses paper so I could use a bit of it later on.



I rounded the corners to match as well and really liked this look



Using a flower punch, punched out a few flowers of the 'Roses' paper.





In the centre of each flower I placed a brad:
MME have so many fabulous decorative brad packets in their ranges



I've hung a little heart trinket off one of the flowers Stella and Rose Mabel 'Love' Trinkets And the little label stickers acting as strip journaling are Stella and Rose Hattie 'Happy' Label Stickers and the little punched out hearts areStella and Rose Mabel 'Little Lady' Paper (reverse side)

Lastly,its been a massive week or so at work and just after finishing today, Hannah and Paige (they worked for me today too) and I were so hot, the weather is beautiful - so we made the snap decision to go to Stanley - a beautiful seaside town here in Tasmania and stay for the night.  We have a late check out in the morning (very big smile)  Dh couldnt come as he had work to do at the farm.

We spent the afternoon swimming at the beach and chilling out completely.

 

Just chatting to each other.... as they do....

Scrap Therapy My Mind's Eye

 Over at Scrap Therapy, I'm working with MME

This LO just evolved and I didnt have any idea how it was going to turn out
Does this happen to you?

The one thing about MME papers is they work so well together!




(sorry about the lighting - but I create late at night and decided to photograph the step-by-step part 

and as I was going along had no idea what the next step was going to be )

Cut up a lot of little strips from left over scraps and place in a line along the bottom of the background paper




Then I wasnt happy with just one line of strips... and kept cutting until there was four lines of strips and it filled the whole background paper!
At this stage I was preeeeetty sure this was overkill and I'd stuck it all down (didnt want to be lifting them all off to glue later - what a nightmare eh?! )
.... but then got an idea




Out came the gesso (or white paint will do the same job) and I started to slap the paint on At this stage I was pretty happy at how it was calming all the pattern down and making sure that I kept some of the patterns and colours showing around the edges




Next morning (with better lighting to photograph in ) added the embellies



The little MME labels- some have the 'ribbon' effect already cut out of them, and some dont. So made sure that all of them had that 'v' cut out of the ends of them.

MME Sketch #32, Art Piasknownica

Been busy scrapping this week, very late at night when creativeness is buzzing.  Do you find you have a best part of the day/night to scrap? 

I love to put my project plan in place late at night - gather, make decisions, lay it out - and then in the morning look at it with fresh eyes, rearrange maybe - then stick down and photograph in the daylight.

Weeeeeell thats how it happens here (smile)

I've fallen in love with My Mind's Eye ever since the very first Lost and Found came out and pretty much everything  released since then - I've loved.  And the new CHA ranges are no exception..

Anyway I went for a looksee at their blog and decided to jump in and do Challenge#32-Layout which you will find HERE

 

Here's how to create the little dresses:

Cut out a figure from a photo 

 Seperate by cutting the skirt away

Cut a skirt the same length but wider so it can be pleated

(Spray with water to soften the paper as MME paper is quite thick)

And then repace with the paper skirt all ready to go on the project.

Isnt this floral just super pretty!!  (Product list below)

ART PIASKNOWICA

I've just started taking part, and boy is it challenging - in a good way.  It's pushing me to do things I never thought I would!

Graj w kolory #28

I made so many mistakes doing this piece.. everytime I got a shock with 'oh no', it just seemed to fix okay!  I must have done that (the oh no!) about a dozen times!

I loved the colour palette!
Though the mustard colour is a bit brighter 'yellow' on my computer than it is real life- grrrr

Recykling -glass

 Its about the use of any glass containers that lay around in your houses.

A jar, bottle or an old chipped drinking glass - all that can be refreshened and changed for further use. In a nutshell - the challenge is to upcycle some glass

 This was a reject vase and I love the shape of it

So with some glass paint - it was going to get a new lease of life!

The outline is now finished (this is the first time I've ever done glass painting!)

 And all coloured and finished.  I think it has a kind of  Japanese feel to it?

Every angle of the vase shows a new perspective
