I really loved the way Gerry created a window surrounded by Christmas folliage and adding a little bird  giving it life.

I wondered how I was going to create the circle frame like Solange's card

So I used Prima North Country 'Forest Notes' 12x12 and cut out the little frame and also used the word 'joy' too.

 

 

Then used the fabulous Prima tree page from the North Country 8x8 Paper Stack #843700

And turned it sideways so it looks more like a landscape to put the little trees (also cut from a page in the 8x8 Paper Stack.

Prima 12 Days of Christmas Cards....

 

 

Managed to get three more cards done for the Prima Challenge.

I can honestly say, I've never really been interested in cards until lately, but have found that I really do like having a go with them. 

 

 

Day 6

Just changed the shape of the card from Stacey's to make it a longer rectange. ... still maintains the centre piece and wrapped string.  I've used the measuring tape as a banner... looks like 23rd and 24th - so the numbers on the tape were fabby to use!

Lesley had a flower banner on the left side of her card which is gorgeous.... I could see that a created Christmas Tree in its place would look fabby too!  And somehow this fun piece just developed somehow.  It was a joy to make!

What a challenge this started out - then the creative process kind of took over and weeeeell, this is what happened.  I took in all of what Larissa had created and boy - 3D, and that's about creating a scene... I LOVE creating scenes!  This little tin was perfect!

I should be sewing  (have a production in a week's time) and need time out.

Its been full on at work and taken on much more than I usually ever do.

Tonight is late, but have been scrapping here and there when I can manage it.

I think its because scrapping Christmas is so motivating (to me) that getting more done is just coming so easily (big smile)

Counterfeit Kit Challenges

 

LOVE this site.. I'm using ALL sorts of papers and embellies I had forgotten about.

This challenge (keeping in mind that there are no prizes or any competition in anyway.. just motivation to use your stash) is:

Stamp Inspiration: Pick ONE stamp (not the whole set) to inspire you and use on your project. You can use more than one stamp, but your inspiration one should be prominent.  Say which stamp and how it inspired you.

 

I've used an old favourite triangle stamp with paint onto bits of music paper and scraps - then cut out, inked the edges and stapled together to form Christmas Trees

SCRAP THERAPY

 

Here's a little forum challenge

 

Scrap an older Christmas (or celebration) photo/s. It has to be a photo/s of someone/something that has significantly changed... (Like Paige here who is two years old) This scene was so much fun to make!! Paige was a cheeky happy little thing - I love this memory of her riding her new bike with a little Santa apron that Grandma made. Funnily enough - the Tellytubby slippers were the real winner that Christmas morning! LOL -the bike ran second!

GET CREATIVE

November's Card Challenge is to use an 'unused/new' stamp in your stash!

I'd just bought this stamp (part of a set from Stampin' Up'), created this little Christmas tree card by using up scraps and taping the spine with a canvas 7Gypies tape, also been in my stash for ages.  It worked and binded so well!  The image has been coloured with watercolour pencils

Last of all,  its REMEMBRANCE DAY here in Australia

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month each year, we remember our fallen soldiers, those who sacrificed so much.

My great-grandfather lost his life in the First World War.

Red Poppies worn today are a symbol of the poppies found in the Flanders Fields where most of the fighting occurred.  

 

Here is Paige,  who laid a wreath on behalf of her school this morning.
