Sunday Sketches and Our Beautiful World

It was really nice to have some time to sit, read, draw and chat today..
I love Sundays!

The Winter sun is shining,  the pre-spring blooms are putting on a show,
along with the weeds.... weeds?  Do you ever wonder who deemed some plants
the unwanted weeds, while the other plants are welcome in our gardens?

Watercolour pencils, black outliner and white gelly roll pen.

I think a weed is anything that grows where we don't want it to! Even flowers that spread around the lawn become "weeds"!! Love the dandelions! And fabulous photos on stairs! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Oh I love your sketch. The lowly dandelion. So miss treated.
I am not a fan of them in my yard. But, I've wanted to make a quilt featuring the dandylion for ages. You've inspired me to sketch.
I need a white pen. Loved your vacation shots! Looks like a great time was had by all.
Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.

The white pen on your book illustration really makes the drawings stand out! I love the way you've used it to highlight the lettering too :)

Love your new entry in Hannah's book :)
I'm just not certain what this tells me
about her. ;)
Love that dandelion, it's perfect :))
And I like your stair pictures - I walked
the stairs of the Eiffel tower myself,
and got quite a shock to see Mr. Eiffel
sitting there in his office :) Is he
still there?

Have a beautiful week Mandy! :)

Mandy, a question..... What do you use for the lovely "WHITE" in your journal pages. I love the effect and my white prismacolor pencil, doesn't show up over the print. Thanks girlfriend for your help and advice.

I love your illustration of the dandelion and those words certainly strike a cord with me. I'm constantly trying to conquer the weeds. I want to know why they don't go on holiday... ever!!!
You also remind me that I really must get a white gelly roll pen too. It makes such a difference.
Great photos especially of the budding ballerina ;D
Have a great creative week ahead and thanks for sharing your art.
