SOC Week 6 - Orange + Orange + Blue

What a week we've just been through,
With work, I've been at the theatre for dance comps for very long hours,
and late last night it came to an end, as has our school holidays...
We had a very successful time with all our groups, solos and duets winning or placing and am very proud.  So today (Saturday morning) for my last weekend off - I'm just going to enjoy my arts and crafts as a reward!  (very big smile!)

One thing I really wanted to do is

SOC 5  Week 6 (sniff sniff - the final week)
I've really enjoyed these past 6 weeks .

When given the orange + orange + blue, immediately a little blue bird came to mind.  LOL and got to say, it started out a disaster!!  If I could have torn this page out - I would have! However, I've persevered and got it to a reasonable state.  Its not perfect, but that's okay, I'll get better with more practice.

Don't forget to join in here......

the criteria is anything to do with books!

That bird on a book page looks fabulous! I love the loose feel of the whole composition, as well as the look of your handwriting over the book print. Blessings!

Oh my goodness - I love this! I know you think it's not perfect but sometimes fresh eyes can make a more unbiased appraisal. I reckon it's fantastic!

Nothing worse than having an image in your head that simply does NOT translate how you imagined. HOwever, personally, if I Could Do a bird this well, I be over the moon happy!!! It's all in the individual perspective, right? I LOVE the colours of him. Yes, to me he's a him!!! Having said all that.....I resorted to Black Gesso recently. I made such a hash of a page:):)!!!!! So you're better'n'me! Least you didn't have to do that:):)

Congrats to your dance groups/solos! It sounds wonderful!!! And I absolutely love what you created using this week's - our last - :) - SOC colors. So cool that you got to have some craft time as a reward for your hard work!!! I love your quote and how you added it, too! It has been wonderful following you through the SOC this year. I cannot believe that our last week is here already! Hugs, Sharon

Congratulations to your dancers. I am sure something like that is a huge amount of work but it sounds like so much fun as well.

Your page is beautiful. You used two of my favorite color combinations and I wrote down your quote so that I will remember it.

Have a wonderful week.
