HAPPY EASTER!!!
(And our first Easter in our new house)

Here's how our Easter morning went......

Behind the dining room door......

 arrives Paige and Hannah......

who see the Easter Breakfast Table!
How cute are those little chicks!!!

Love the look on their faces!

Off on a hunt!

Paige taking her own pics for facebook
and eggs on toast!

The yummy - hot cross bun and cuppa tea~!

The placemats where easily made.... just cut out yellow felt!  NO sewing!

And a sprinkle of jelly beans dont go astray either!
See the little buttons by the cups... they are little bunny badges for us girls to wear today

Miss Maggie Mae... was VERY unimpressed with  the little chicks... we put them down on the carpet just to see if she warmed to them..... or ignore them...... BUT......
she hissed and carried on!!!  They were on HER territory!!!
 LOL, nevertheless, we removed them!

She's settled down now in her favourite place....
snuggling on dh's chest into his beard and snoozing together after her trauma!

Anyway, hope you have a wonderful
EASTER!!!

And Easter Bunny was very good to you!

For the Easter Breakfast Table...

For the Easter Breakfast table!

This time I thought I'd make these quick easy little cutlery holders which also double as a name settings too!
Image

I think I've just added orange to my Easter table!! I was originally thinking white and yellow.. but just maaaaybe the pop of orange is a good thing???

They are dont really take much to make up... and I'm not much one for measurements... so its how it turns out with a little cutting and shutting here and there.

Step 1
Cut a piece of White Cardstock into quarters (this will make four ) and then fold in thirds
Image

Step 2
Next, glue the seam edges down. I'll call these 'white sleeves' :P
Image

Step 3
Oooh I love this paper! Using WRMK Simply Spring Daffodil cut a small piece as below - (look I gave measurements!!! Weeell, partially!) Then fold in half
Image

Step 4
With this folded piece, cut just the smallest slither off each end (to kinda end up with an envelope-look) with the folded end being the widest, and the other end a tiny bit more narrower.
Image

Step 5
Open the little fold (ink around all the edges of everything) and glue and slip either side of the bottom of the white 'sleeve' sealing it off, slide in a feather - and cut a little triangle out of the daffodil paper to fit adhering to the top
Image

Step 6
Love a bit of trim to dress it up? This is MME Stella and Rose Gertie Delightful Trim. Glue a piece down a little bit from the top edge of the sleeve, on top of the triangle paper.
Image

Step 7
This WRMK Cotton Tail 'In the Meadow' Paper is just wonderful for cutting out little bunnies! (its cheaper than buying stickers!) And here's another great paper to cut from WRMK Easter Titles And I cut out four to go on the yellow trim
Image

Step 8
Glue the little bunny, and add some orange trim tied in a bow.. MME Stella & Rose Mabel Little Lady Trim (Its that perfect carrot-ey orange!) Add some fabulous MME My Girl Enamel Dots And some WRMK Simply Spring Chipboard Alpha
Image

All finished complete with cutlery - ready for the Easter table!

You'll find it at SCRAP THERAPY!

------------------------

It's been very busy here at home and work.
I'm off away on Easter Monday for work in Melbourne until Thursday leaving the family to fend for themselves for a few days.

I try hard to put aside time to scrap.  Just as well I'm a night owl, otherwise there would be no scrapping at all.  sigh....

Playing catch up here at the moment!

---------------------------

How cool is this??
We are off overseas soonish.... and Paige really wanted a polaroid camera..
and since it was on sale - she got one,   cheap enough... but the film to go in it weeeeeell ....thats expensive... there will be no taking photos willy-nilly!   She's going to have to 'think' about what photos to actually take.  Thats a new concept since she was born into a generation who only knows digital!

 ---------------------

My art work...  a fluffy peacock feather and a little galah feather.

I've got lots of artwork that I've never posted here... this probably is one of the first.  Probably not confident, self critical - though... am happy with this one.

Have a happy Good Friday!

Crate Paper Wings Challenge and Studio Challenges

CRATE PAPER 'Wings' Challenge

Its about butterflies, dragonflies, bees and more.

Poor Paige, we were on holiday in Cairns, and off to the Butterfly Farm with much anticipation, only on leaving the farm, Paige came up with massive big welts all over her body!   The nearby Pharmacy asked if she had been to the Butterfly Farm, and if so, then it was more likely to be caused by the spores from the caterpillars!   Who would have thought!??   Armed with anti-histomines - it all calmed down in no time.

Scrap Therapy and a Few More Challenges!

Over at SCRAP THERAPY......
Is anyone looking at Easter 'products' to scrap some Easter photos? I love to put a couple of Easter LO's out on display over the holiday break, and there's always that 'I remember that!' remark - and a bit of a chat over the particular Easter gone by.
I've always loved this little photo of Hannah and have wished it were better quality, constantly overlooking it because of that problem. Finally I've come to the conclusion it shouldn't matter - its still a lovely memory (in her ears and dressing gown ready for a hunt!) therefore worthy of scrapping - so I created a little scenario of Hannah in a nest full of eggs and the little Easter bunny on his rounds! Just a bit of fun!

The background paper is fabulous WRMK Cotton Tail Glitter Polka Dots Paper

And the nest is made up of a mixture of thin strips of notebook paper binding that has been torn off, string and handmade little leaves made from WRMK Simply Spring Textured Cardstock (the WRMK's cardstock is fabulous- I use it as a preferred cardstock  ) The stickers are now sold out, but look at Cotton Tail range left to see what you could use WRMK Cotton Tail Products

The little tulip journal block and the 'A visit with the Rabbit' block that Easter Bunny is standing on - can be found HERE

WRMK Eggshell Cardstock used for the little arrows and to mount the photo.
MME Brads
White Jewelry Box Thickers

All pics and no journaling... weeeeell easy one for me... I'm a hopeless journaller!

Her hands flew around that instrument!

And as I scrolled down all the fabulous Design Team's Lo's - I just LOVED

Love the divide down the page AND all those fabulous elements!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed creating this LO - thanks Anastasia T!

March Challenge... is to follow the sketch......

.......... and scrap about what the 'Weekend Means'
Weeeeell, this is totally my girls, one with a book and the other with a computer - discussing, comparing, show and tell - covered with a blanket all cosy.   We do nothing - we dont even dress until after lunch.  Its about spending quality time all together relaxing - its my favourite time of the week.
